James and Eloise The creation of someone who always enjoyed 'dabbling' with flowers until asked to 'do the flowers' for my nieces' wedding. Usually a baptism of fire, I was not put off. Bexley Adult Education followed by NCFE in Floral Art and C&G Levels 2&3 at Hadlow College. A trip to the Boerma Instituut in 2011 followed a Gregor Lersch workshop in Preston REALLY ignited a passion in Floral Art that burns as bright and as hot as a volcano today as it did then.
Background Gardening from age of 5; hence the love of all things floral. Sadly unable to follow a path that I thought I was destined for, a life in administration became a poor substitute which started out at the BBC and eventually led to me diversifying into Facilities and Building management. 3D AutoCAD, IOSH, CDMC and a host of other qualifications enabled me to successfully fit out and open newly formed offices, listed buildings etc until I became unwell. During my recovery - whilst 'playing with flowers' - my niece said that sentence...not one to ignore a challenge.... Here I am 😉
Training Bexley College: Wedding Planner Course Hadlow College: NCFE Floral Art, C&G Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Floristry. C&G Level 4 I 'jumped' half way through Level 4 to take control of my (now late) in-laws health issues. Burying two people you absolutely love and admire in such a short time demands that you take time out to heal. Boerma Instituut: 2011, 2018 and 2019: Sympathy and Handtied workshops, Carles J. Fontanillas workshop and ADFD Healing comes in different ways and achieving my ADFD (Advanced Dutch Floral Design) has begun that process. Boerma Instiuut: 2020: I continue my Dutch Masters with...my 'mentor/idol' Gregor Lersch
In the meantime, feel free to check out my site, Facebook or Instagram pages for ideas, inspiration or just because you're nosey....
The name? I can give you many excuses for the name, but lets just say - for now - I am James and Eloise
